Spray Roofing Membranes

Rycam Roofing

Michigan's Trusted Roofing Specialist

At Rycam Roofing, we specialize in spray roofing membrane services that provide seamless, durable, and energy-efficient protection for commercial and residential properties. Spray-applied roofing membranes are an excellent solution for both new installations and restoring existing flat or low-slope roofs.

This advanced system creates a continuous, watertight barrier that eliminates seams—one of the most common sources of leaks. In addition to superior waterproofing, spray roofing membranes offer outstanding insulation and UV resistance, helping to reduce energy costs while extending the life of your roof.

Our skilled team applies the membrane with precision, ensuring a smooth finish that adheres securely to your roof’s surface. The flexibility of this system also allows it to expand and contract with temperature changes, preventing cracks and damage.

At Rycam Roofing, we are committed to delivering high-performance roofing solutions that combine innovation, efficiency, and long-term protection for your property investment.

Seamless Waterproof Protection

The spray application creates a continuous, watertight barrier with no seams or joints, reducing the risk of leaks.

Energy Efficiency

Spray membranes provide excellent insulation and UV resistance, helping lower heating and cooling costs year-round.

Flexibility and Durability

The material expands and contracts with temperature changes, preventing cracks while offering long-lasting performance and reduced maintenance needs.

Spray Roofing Membrane Information

Re-cover, don’t re-roof. You’ll save money, time and aggravation and avoid time-consuming and costly tear-offs.

Whether your roof is large or small, flat or sloped, GacoFlex Silicone Roof Coating Systems provide a proven, guaranteed solution for renewing your weathered roof. They can be applied to virtually any existing roofing surface to create a seamless membrane that protects against permanent ponding water, ultraviolet light and severe weather.

The key advantages of using a silicone roofing system:

  • Silicone is permanent and will not degrade, chalk or crack under harsh UV rays.
  • Silicone forms a seamless membrane that withstands permanent ponding water without softening.
  • Silicone creates a smooth surface that offers excellent resistance to mold, mildew and staining.

GacoRoofFoam is a closed cell monolithic polyurethane which bonds to the substrate of any shape, size or slope of roof and becomes part of the structure. It is manufactured in a variety of densities to accommodate even the most unique roof designs. GacoRoofFoam creates a seamless barrier which can be varied in thickness to create a positive slope to drain on flat roofs.

GacoRoofFoam is Class A (Class 1) fire rated, UL approved and FM approved, including a Severe Hail Rating when coated with GacoFlex S2100 Cleanable Solvent-free Silicone Coating, GacoRoofFoam does not contain CFCs, HCFCs or other gases harmful to the ozone layer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about any of the roofing, siding, or building restoration services that we provide? Below you will find answers to our most frequently asked questions.

Metal roofing is durable, energy-efficient, and long-lasting. It can withstand harsh weather, resist fire, and reduce cooling costs by reflecting sunlight. Many metal roofs last 40–70 years with minimal maintenance.

Absolutely. Metal roofing works well for homes, barns, offices, warehouses, and other commercial buildings. Its versatility makes it a popular choice for both residential and business applications.

Modern metal roofs are installed with insulation and underlayment, which minimize noise. In most cases, they are no louder than asphalt shingles during rain or hail.

Metal roofs require minimal maintenance. Occasional inspections, clearing debris from valleys and gutters, and checking fasteners or sealants help keep them in top condition.

The best roofing system depends on your building type, budget, and long-term goals. Metal roofs are excellent for durability, flat roofs maximize usable space, and spray roofing membranes are ideal for cost-effective waterproofing. A professional inspection and consultation will help determine the right option.

Metal siding is made from materials like steel or aluminum and is known for its durability, low maintenance, and fire resistance. Composite siding is made from a mix of materials such as wood fibers and polymers, offering a wood-like appearance with improved resistance to rot, pests, and weather.

Metal siding can last 40–70 years with proper care, while composite siding typically lasts 30–50 years depending on the quality of materials and installation. Both are more durable than traditional wood siding.

Metal siding generally requires less maintenance, needing only occasional washing and touch-ups for scratches. Composite siding is also low-maintenance compared to wood, but it may require periodic painting or sealing to maintain its appearance.

The timeline varies based on the property size, extent of damage, and type of restoration required. Smaller projects may take a few weeks, while extensive historic restorations can take several months. Your contractor can provide a detailed schedule after an initial inspection.

Yes. Many restoration companies now use sustainable materials, energy-efficient systems, and waste-reducing practices. Eco-friendly restoration can include recycled materials, low-VOC paints, water-efficient systems, and energy-saving insulation.
